Attorney James Lee brings his unique background to the practice of law. He was born in Korea and grew up in Hawaii, where he received his secondary education and attended colleges on the mainland. He is fully bilingual in Korean and has practiced law in Seoul Korea for 10 years before coming back to Hawaii.
He has a wide range of experience in law advising multinational corporations, as well as small businesses. Since his return to Hawaii, his practice areas include real estate transactions, development, immigration, Liquor License and commercial law.
In particular, he caters to the needs of foreign companies and provides a one-stop-service: setting up a company, obtaining governmental approvals and visa for employees, and advise on corporate, labor and other pertinent matters.
JPL Investment Properties: Attorney James Lee is also the president of his own real estate company which handles both commercial and residential properties.

Advise and provide companies from Korea one-stop legal services. That is, setting up of a company, obtain government permits and licenses as well as advise them on real estate investment opportunities regarding hotels and commercial properties.

Advised foreign corporations in various capacities, including establishing companies, corporate governance, compliance with regulations, contract, labor negotiations, as well as advising on litigation strategy. Also,I was in charge of liquidating Semisys Semiconductor Corp., an affiliate of an Amkor Corp. (former Anam Corp.). Accordingly, that required negotiating with creditors and debtors, and a tough negotiation with the labor union as a part of liquidation process.
